21 year old Unilag student Aisha Ajibola Obabiyi wins the world muslimah beauty pageant in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is the 3rd annual event and contestants were drawn from six countries. She beat 19 other hopefuls to emerge muslimah Queen 2013. Ajibola said the event "wasn't really about competition". "We are just trying to show the world that Islam is beautiful". She receives $2,200 and trips to Mecca and India as prizes. BIG CONGRATULATIONS to her.
